Colorado Renaissance Magical Moments

Carnival Rides for kids Children's Weekend Colorado RenaissanceHave you ever dressed up and played pretend? We all remember doing that as kids, but what about as adults? We are often so overwhelmed with the stresses of life, money, job, family. We get so busy, we don’t take time to play with out kids, or even play as kids. This weekend is an opportunity to do just that, pretend.

Children’s weekend at the Colorado Renaissance Festival is a fun and magical experience. There are more kid friendly things to do and see than the other weekends. Did you know they have rides for kids that are historically correct for that era?  The King and Queen are always a delight to meet. You can be knighted by His and Her Majesty.

There will be fun music, Elephant rides, a children’s area where there is a petting zoo, butterfly rides, clydesdale horses to meet, maizes, a huge slide, boat rides, a huge swing they call the King’s Swing, circus style acts 16th Century style like Flourish and the big Cats (leopards), Twig the Fairy, Huge bubbles and so much more! Children's Weekend Colorado Renaissance

What to bring: sunscreen, umbrellas, water can be brought if inside a bag or small backpack, cash for rides and food, small snacks for your kids. Parking is always packed and may seem overwhelming, but they have a shuttle from the farther lots if you arrive later in the day. Try to come at open gate, they do a wonderful opening act with song just before the gate opens at 10:00am and closes at 6:30pm. It will be hot, so hydrate the day before.
